The staff of Freedom Christian Academy Preschool believes children are a gift from God and that every aspect of nurturing a child should be conducted through a Christ-centered approach. We celebrate diversity and strive to instill integrity, compassion, and confidence in each child while providing support and encouragement to become his or her unique self. Smaller class sizes foster social growth without feeling overwhelmed. Each classroom features one attentive lead teacher and one teacher’s aide with a maximum of 12-16 students.
Our 2- and 3-year-old programs use Abeka curriculum as the foundational academic component. Our 4-year-old classroom uses a blend of Abeka and Bob Jones University Press to develop kindergarten-readiness skills. This combination supports vertical alignment to ensure a successful transition into Kindergarten. Our curriculum skillfully weaves Biblical practices into everyday academics. Students learn to think creatively and work independently as well as with others. They tackle a challenging curriculum in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and adaptable to a variety of learning styles.
The curriculum is designed to meet the developmental stage of each age group. The general program includes the areas of gross, cognitive, and fine motor development. It also includes expressive/receptive language and social/emotional development. We believe children learn best by hands-on opportunities through age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, a love for learning, and a love for Jesus. All children, from ages two and up, receive Library, Music and Movement, and Spanish once a week.
