Steps Towards FCA Enrollment
The application process is very simple. Complete the online forms, letters of recommendations, student questionnaire (6th – 12th), and provide necessary documents. Once all paperwork is complete, our admissions office will schedule an interview.

When to Apply: Freedom Christian Academy encourages families to begin the application process as soon as possible using our Online Application. By applying online, the submission process is made easier and parents can track the status of their admission after the application has been submitted.
How to Apply: Applying is easy using our Online Application. A non-refundable fee of $100 must be submitted with each application, this fee is paid online. The application is not sent to our admissions office without the fee being paid.
Create an Online Account: To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Then log in to your account and Create a New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.
After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging into your account. There you will be able to print the completed applications, monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms, and if necessary, reprint the supplemental forms.

Ready to start an Online Application?
Freedom Christian Academy seeks to admit students who meet the following criteria:
- An acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord by the student or an obvious openness to the gospel of Jesus
- At least one of the parents (or legal guardian) should be a follower of Christ as well, active in a local church or seeking a church home
- Whose home life is led by parents who have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, who is active in a Bible-preaching church, who values a biblical world-view as essential to their child’s education, who is engaged in their child’s academic and spiritual life, who is supportive of FCA teachers, and who is diligent in meeting the financial obligations required by FCA. Who is living in a Biblically-appropriate family unit
- Whose spiritual life demonstrates a relationship with Jesus Christ resulting in age-appropriate virtue and high moral character
- Whose academic life evidences a desire to learn, and the self-discipline required to handle the rigor of our college-preparatory academic program
- Whose FCA life evidences a desire to be an FCA student, an eagerness to participate in extracurricular activities, a respect for each member of the FCA faculty and student body, and a desire to contribute positively to the Christian cultural of our school
- Aspire to grow as scholars, leaders, citizens, and disciples
All students are required to have on file before moving forward to the interview portion of admissions:
- Completed Application
- Signed Parent/Student Handbook Agreement
- Pastor Recommendation *Form emailed when application is submitted*
- Teacher Recommendation (K5-5th: Teacher Recommendation) (6-12th: English and Math Teacher Recommendation) *Form emailed when application is submitted*
- Most current report card
- IEP/504 testing if applicable
- Records/Transcripts: requested by FCA upon submission of application
- Rising Kindergarten Students must turn in a NC Health Assessment Form along with Current Immunizations
Incoming students (K5 – 8th grade) are required to complete an assessment based on grade applying for.
All students who apply are required to have a family interview where at least one parent and the applying student must be present.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Freedom Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Freedom Christian Academy does not discriminate based on race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
Preschool:

Enrollment fee (non-refundable) $150
Grades K – 5th:
- Non-refundable $250 application fee required.
($100 must accompany the completed application and the remaining $150 will be collected after acceptance.) - Items required and included in the application: Teacher Recommendation from a most recent teacher, and Pastor Recommendation from current Pastor/Youth Pastor. These forms are required before moving forward with the admissions process.
- Request records from your child’s current school (1st -5th grade). Please include the current report card, two previous years report cards, and end of grade testing.
- The student must reach the minimum appropriate age by August 31.
Grades 6th – 12th
- Non-refundable $250 application fee required.
($100 must accompany the completed application and the remaining $150 will be collected after acceptance.) - Items required and included in the application: Most recent Math and English teachers (6th-12 grade only) Recommendations, and Pastor/Youth Pastor Recommendation Form. These forms are required before moving forward with the admissions process.

- Request records from your child’s current school. Please include the current report card, two previous years report cards, and end of grade testing.
Traditional Student – Immediately after acceptance, you will be asked to meet with an admissions advisor and fill out any additional forms (see other information below). The non-refundable tuition deposit and the remaining $100 from the application fee will also be collected once you complete the additional forms. The student is not officially enrolled at Freedom Christian Academy until the enrollment process has been completed.
International Student – Immediately after acceptance, you will be asked to complete any additional forms. The resource fee of $4,000 will also be collected and can be paid in person or by phone with a credit card once additional forms are complete. The I-20 will be issued after the payment of the resource fee has been received. The student is not officially enrolled at Freedom Christian Academy until the enrollment process has been completed.
Traditional Student – Acceptance of the applicant is based on:
- Entrance Assessment
- The interview
- Transcript or report card grades
- Discipline and attendance records
- Recommendations for the applicable grades.
Freedom Christian Academy does not discriminate against any person based on sex, race, color, age, or national origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students of the school. Neither does FCA discriminate in the administration of its educational programs.
We begin accepting applications in November for the upcoming school year. A waitlist will be maintained when a grade level becomes full.
International Student – Acceptance of the applicant is based on:
- The interview
- TOEFL score, TOEFL Jr., or ELTiS Score
- Transcript or report card grades,
- Availability of space in the class, and
- Recommendations for the applicable grades.
K5 Health Assessment Sheet – Required by the state of North Carolina this form must be in a student’s file before they can start school. The form is in the K5 packet or can be obtained from our admissions office at FCA.
International Student – Immunizations must be received before the student can attend school. Issuing of the I-20 by the Head of School or International Student Coordinator will be done once the student has enrolled and paid the tuition for the year. The student and guardian must be at this meeting (unless you are coming through an organization) and present a copy of the parent’s proof of income and bank statement. The student must also submit which can be obtained from the school a photo release form, technology use form, and medical form before they can start school.
Traditional or International Student – Applications are accepted as long as there are class openings.
Students are permitted enrollment for the current school year until January 3.
This policy does not apply to new students relocating to the area.
Traditional – Certificate of Immunization – Is required at time of application including 7th Grade vaccinations. FCA will not allow the student to attend class until this has been received.
International – Certificate of Immunization in English

Technology Agreement form, Photo Release form, Medical Release form, and Student Pledge form signed and turned in with the admissions packet.
A copy of the birth certificate and social security card must also be submitted with the admissions packet.
