Lunch Room
Our new building has brought a new state-of-the-art lunchroom facility to our campus which potentially can serve and seat 1000 students. It houses a commercial stove and both a traditional and convection oven. The serving line keeps the temperature of the food regulated and in accordance with state standards. Parents and students will be pleased with the conditions and accommodations this new facility provides.
Lunchroom time for academy students beginning at K5 is a half hour. Four days a week we cook, not fry, delicious food but on Wednesdays we bring in pizza, chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers, etc. from local restaurants. (see monthly menu) Students order lunch in homeroom each morning. We accept cash in the line but prefer parents put money on their child's debit card to facilitate a better flow of lunchroom “traffic”.
Expectations of students in the lunchroom:
- Students must eat! They may choose to either bring their lunch from home or buy: -we do not provide microwaves.
- Students eat in the lunchroom, not in the classroom
- Students engage in pleasant conversations with their friends
- Students clean up their area after lunch
Costs: lunch is $3 and snacks & drinks are $1.
