SCHOOL DATA: 2011-2012

Class schedule: Seven class periods of 50 minutes each, five days a week.

College Prep, Honors and AP classes available; Electives-Spanish, choir, band, speech, technology, yearbook, journalism, psychology, weight-training, SAT prep


School Year:    Two 18-week semesters/180 days total- 4 report card marking periods and 4 progress report marking periods


Staff:   Professional high school faculty members with many holding Masters or Doctorate degrees; all are certified.


Library:   Over 12,000 volumes plus DVD's and CD’s available to students


Computer:  A state-of-the-art computer lab plus a 16 laptop mobile tech lab available for teacher/student sign-out 


Testing:  Terra Nova Achievement Testing in the Spring; PSAT given to Sophomores and Juniors every Fall


Religion:   Christian; non-denominational

93-100 =A

85-92 = B

77-84 = C

70 - 76 = D

 

GRADE POINT AVERAGE:
GPA is calculated on a 4.0 scale for all students in all subjects.
Exceptions:                                                                                                                         

Honors classes are weighted and calculated on a 5.0 scale
Advanced Placement classes are weighted and calculated on a 6.0 scale if the student at the end of the course takes the AP test.
